About the founding team
After completing our Master’s degree together at the Technical University of Munich, we – the three-member founding team consisting of Flora, Vanessa and Nicholas – founded SUMM AI and made it our mission to make the world understandable for everyone using the latest technology! With comprehensible texts at the touch of a button, we want to enable people with learning difficulties, educational disadvantages or a migration background to actively participate in our society, as our complicated everyday language often excludes them from important information. During our studies, we recognized the great technological potential in research projects in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and developed the desire to use the developments in AI-supported natural language processing to solve a socially relevant problem. Flora’s aunt in particular, who is a target group of plain language herself and is excluded by complicated texts, motivated the team to set up the company.

Today, however, SUMM AI is much more than that:
Over 130 public administrations are already using our SUMM AI tool to reach citizens in an accessible, understandable and inclusive way. We have become a growing GovTech company and now offer two strong solutions for the public sector:
– AI translation tool for easy language
– AI process management software
Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise from AI development, UX design, administration and research – with the aim of making the digitization
of administration understandable, accessible and efficient.
